Dear Colleagues,

May I ask you to please bring this opportunity to the attention of potential graduate students with interests in mineralogy?

Thank you and best wishes,

The Department of Earth and Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking Ph.D. candidates in any area of mineralogy, including applied/environmental mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry, for admission to its graduate program in Fall 2018. UPenn graduate students have access to world-class faculty that conduct research in a wide range of Earth and Environmental Science topics, with strong ties to other departments. Exciting opportunities also exist for collaboration with faculty in the Penn Medical School. Candidates must have a solid background in mineralogy and petrology. Teaching opportunities exist for candidates wishing to develop teaching skills. The successful applicants will be awarded a Ph.D. Fellowship package, which includes tuition, fees, health care and stipend for living expenses.

Interested students should explore our website (http://www.sas.upenn.edu/earth) and are encouraged to apply via our web-based system at: https://www.sas.upenn.edu/earth/doctoral-programs/how-apply
